Construction Project Manager
We are seeking candidates for the role of Project Manager on behalf of our client, a leader in the structural steel industry.
The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion. This role involves reviewing project contracts, drawings, and specifications and coordinating shop fabrication schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry and will demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Review project contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and feasibility.
- Coordinate shop fabrication schedules with relevant departments.
- Solicit subcontractor and vendor prices, analyze bids, and make selections based on project requirements and budget.
- Execute and oversee submittals of all shop drawings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and submit Advanced Bill of Materials.
- Review, track, and manage change orders throughout the life of the project.
- Attend job site meetings to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain close professional relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in construction project management is highly preferred.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and contract drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software is a plus.
Compensation
- The pay range starts at $52,000 for entry-level candidates. Increases in starting pay will be commensurate with experience.
