Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator (2nd Shift)
Location: Williston, Vermont
Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $18 and up, based on experience
Position Overview: Coryer Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our client's manufacturing team for the 2nd shift. This role involves fabricating and assembling custom chimney products using various metals. While experience in sheet metal, spot welding, and reading engineering drawings is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate typical equipment found in a sheet metal shop.
- Maintain pride and cleanliness in the workspace.
- Work independently or as part of a team to fabricate parts.
- Operate and set up machinery, including shears, brakes, spot welders, plasma tables, rollers, punches, and other metal fabrication tools.
- Conduct quality control on fabricated products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Form and assemble sheet metal products using the appropriate equipment.
- Keep and maintain a clean workstation.
- Communicate effectively with teammates and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
- Ability to prioritize work as directed.
- Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
- Pride in work and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication/rolling is a plus but not required.
- Candidates will be required to provide some hand tools, depending on the department (e.g., ball peen hammer, speed square).
Shift Requirements:
- Monday through Friday, with overtime available.
