Quality Inspector

Pay: Starting at $21/hr+ | Day Shift | Full time
Coryer Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Inspector to join our client's manufacturing team. The Quality Inspector will play a key role in ensuring that their products meet both internal and external quality standards. This position requires proficiency in inspecting products, conducting tests, and identifying quality issues within the manufacturing process, as well the ability to write non-conformance reports and communicate effectively with both the production and engineering teams. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing: Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards.

Data Collection: Accurately document inspection results and testing outcomes using quality control tools, equipment, and software. Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and non-conformance reports.

Quality Control Procedures: Follow established quality control procedures and standards to ensure consistent product quality. Assist in the development of new procedures or improvements to existing processes.

Equipment Calibration: Assist with the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of measurement and testing equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Root Cause Analysis: Investigate non-conformance issues or product defects by identifying the root cause and suggesting corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, engineers, and supervisors to identify areas for process improvements, ensuring high product quality and efficient operations.

Reporting: Assist with the creation of quality reports, performance metrics, and trends related to product quality and process efficiency.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), safety regulations, and company policies.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a related field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment.

Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of quality control techniques, measurement tools, and standards.
- Competent in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and well versed in NCR documentation.
- Proficient in the use of quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- This is a day shift role and pay will be based on experience starting at $21/hr+.
