The Opportunity
Coryer Staffing is proud to partner with a leader in regional environmental logistics to fill a critical Operations Dispatcher role. Our client is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented professional to serve as the primary nerve center for their Plattsburgh operations. In this role, you aren’t just moving trucks; you are solving a complex daily puzzle. You will be the primary point of contact for drivers, ensuring that routes are executed efficiently, safety standards are met, and customers receive world-class service.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Coordination: Direct the daily movement of residential, commercial, and industrial trucks using advanced GPS and routing software.

Driver Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for field drivers to troubleshoot on-route obstacles, equipment issues, or disposal delays.

Route Optimization: Adjust schedules in real-time to account for North Country variables—weather, traffic, and emergency service requests.

Service Recovery: Interface with Customer Care to resolve missed pickups or service interruptions, ensuring every customer is handled professionally.

Operational Reporting: Maintain meticulous logs of route completion, weight tickets, and driver performance to drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Previous dispatching experience in trucking or logistics is preferred; however, we will train candidates with a proven “command center” mindset.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to master industry-specific software (e.g., FleetMind/NetSuite) and manage multiple data streams simultaneously.

Mindset: Cool under pressure, decisive, and a strong communicator who can speak the language of the field.

Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the road networks of Clinton County and Greater Plattsburgh.
