Coryer Staffing is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a respected engineering and utility infrastructure services firm in New York State.
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in utility testing and commissioning to support substation, smart grid, and power systems projects.
This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role requiring the ability to manage multiple active projects and customers simultaneously.
Location: Central New York
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: $115,000 to $145,000+, based on experience
Travel: Approximately 20 to 30 percent local and regional travel
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage multiple testing and commissioning projects
• Oversee substation, transformer, and power system commissioning
• Coordinate field activities, schedules, and deliverables
• Serve as primary point of contact for utility clients
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Support system diagnostics, maintenance testing, and validation
Preferred Background:
• 7+ years of experience in utility or power systems environments
• Demonstrated senior-level testing and commissioning experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable managing high-volume, fast-moving project workloads
• PE license and/or PMP certification strongly preferred
