Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Account Clerk to join a clients Fiscal Department. This vital role focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records and conducting various financial operations to ensure efficient data collection and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate reconciliation and balance maintenance for all vendor accounts.
- Perform detailed analyses of vendor accounts and manage payroll distribution.
- Oversee the authorization, processing, and adjustments of payment vouchers and invoices.
- Handle vendor inquiries and keep precise accounts payable records.
- Accurately document and post business transactions to appropriate subsidiary accounts.
- Manage daily cash deposits and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
- Aid in the preparation of budgetary and financial reports.
- Provide support for year-end closing activities and participate in special projects as needed.
- Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in report writing, maintaining business correspondence, and executing presentations.
- Capable in basic accounting and mathematical tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A Notary Public license is a plus but not required.
