Architectural Designer
Coryer Staffing is representing a premier, locally owned engineering and surveying firm with a 50-year legacy in the North Country. We are seeking a skilled Architectural Designer to join their multi-disciplinary team as the firm’s architectural lead.
This is a “dirt-to-door” firm. You won’t be drafting in a silo — you’ll work alongside Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors on projects from raw site to finished building, with the autonomy to own the architectural scope from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Take ownership of architectural projects — from schematic design through construction documents — for commercial and industrial clients.
- Integrated Engineering: Collaborate across civil, geotechnical, and surveying teams to deliver designs that are technically sound and buildable.
- Team Development: Help grow the firm’s architectural capabilities by mentoring junior staff and building out the design function.
Qualifications
- Education: B.Arch or M.Arch from an NAAB-accredited program.
- Experience: 4–6+ years of professional experience in an architectural setting producing construction documents.
- Licensure: Currently pursuing or nearing completion of the ARE. Candidates who have passed multiple divisions strongly preferred. Licensed RAs also encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Mindset: You want to be a well-rounded professional who understands the engineering realities of construction — not just design for design’s sake.
Why This Firm?
- Local Roots: Stable, respected, and deeply invested in the North Country community for over 50 years.
- Competitive Pay: $62K–$80K depending on experience and licensure status.
- Ground-Floor Opportunity: You’d be building the architectural practice within an established engineering firm — not filling a seat, but creating one.
