Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician
Location: Rouses Point, NY
Pay Range: $17–$24/hour (Based on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday- Friday, day shift with on call availability for emergencies
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing client's team. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and safety of our facility through routine maintenance, preventative measures, and timely repairs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Core Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including filter changes, leak repairs, and minor mechanical fixes

Diagnose issues, determine root causes, and implement timely solutions

Follow scheduled preventative maintenance procedures to reduce system downtime

Respond to work orders and repair requests from staff or facility management

Be available on-call for urgent maintenance issues to minimize operational disruptions

Ensure compliance with all safety, fire, and environmental regulations

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities

Communicate effectively with supervisors, vendors, and team members regarding ongoing issues

Assist with general facility upkeep including cleaning, landscaping, and minor construction tasks
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and basic welding with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and coordination

Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), climbing, and working in a variety of settings

Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time independently
