Position: Cook
Location: Upper Jay, NY
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our client's kitchen team in Upper Jay, NY. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and specifications, including breakfast, lunch, and bakery items.
- Quality Control: Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, appearance, and temperature.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
- Customer Satisfaction: Address any special requests or dietary restrictions from customers to the best of your ability.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Skills: Strong cooking skills, including knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods.
- Flexibility: Weekends are required.
